Thank you for visiting our home on the web! We have Dogue de Bordeaux puppies on the way! Our next litter is due the end of July. These puppies will be ready to travel to their new homes end of September/early October 2025. If you are seriously interested in a future Premiere Roux Bordeaux baby, submit a Puppy Application today!

At this time we have a retired adult Dogue de Bordeaux female available for adoption to an approved home. Anyone interested must 1.) Complete an application on our website 2.) Have a securely fenced yard 3.) Be willing to drive to pick up and meet in person.

Thank you for visiting Premiere Roux (pronounced rooJ)! A Dogue de Bordeaux breeder striving for excellence in health, temperament and conformation. We have some of the top American and European bloodlines incorporated in our breeding program. Our Dogues de Bordeaux descend from legendary champions. And we honor these prestigious pedigrees by actively exhibiting our own dogs in AKC conformation competitions. Of course, as you would expect of any reputable Dogue de Bordeaux breeder, we also believe in proving the quality of each individual dog through health testing. Does this mean we are saying that every single Dogue de Bordeaux in our program passes EVERY health screening? No. Please don’t misunderstand though. We have a standard of health that every dog in our program must live up to. However, we use health testing as a tool to not only eliminate dogs from our program, but also to help us make the best possible matches that will compliment one another for the betterment of the breed.

ABOUT US

Hello and welcome! We are Shane and Diana Cobb. Together we started our small Dogue de Bordeaux  show/breeding program which we’ve dubbed Premiere Roux (pronounced RooJ). Some wonder how I came up with our kennel name. Let me tell you, I struggled for a long time with this. Naming my puppies is a challenge for me so choosing a name that would forever represent my Dogues de Bordeaux to the world seemed impossible. Finally, I decided on French simplicity. Premiere Roux translated from French literally means ‘Top Red’. I felt this very much harmonized with my goal of owning and producing top quality Dogues de Bordeaux.

A little about us; Shane and I have been sharing our lives with this incredible breed since 2014. In March of 2022 our family and our hearts grew tenfold with the birth of our son Eli. At which time I resigned from my day job to stay home with Eli and the dogs full time. Shane owns a successful construction company. In our spare time we are hobby farmers with a few head of Black Angus beef cattle. We live 20 minutes from the Missouri/Arkansas border in the middle of the Ozark hills. The rural area offers an abundance of outdoor activities. Lakes, rivers, creeks, hiking trails, and scenic views make this a great place to live.

Premiere Roux is a top Dogue de Bordeaux breeder and exhibitor located in Missouri. We have been named one of the 7 Best Dogue de Bordeaux Breeders in the USA. We have invested a tremendous amount of time and resources into building our custom home and kennel facilities all under one roof. Our dogues are members of the family first and show dogs second. Occasionally we have puppies for sale and from time to time have adults available. We also offer Dogue de Bordeaux stud service from our fabulous males. I raise my Dogue de Bordeaux puppies inside my home with love and attention. Puppy buyers and approved visitors are welcome to visit our home and our Dogues de Bordeaux in person. It is my aim to improve upon each generation. I plan each breeding long in advance. Looking beyond just the book cover, for instance, I choose mates based on their compatible health, temperament, pedigree, and structural strengths and weaknesses. Hence, I am just as selective when it comes to finding forever homes for our wrinkled bundles of joy. 

Additionally, Premiere Roux offers lifetime support for anyone who purchases a puppy from us. You truly become our extended family. Our puppy buyers can certainly attest to that.

I find it absolutely necessary for anyone wanting a Dogue de Bordeaux to do their “homework” before acquiring one from a Dogue de Bordeaux breeder, or rescue organization. It is for this reason I have created a website designed to educate individuals about the breed. Rather than just a platform to sell puppies.
